  • My pieces are happiest displayed out of direct sunlight, away from moisture, and framed (a shadowbox is recommended), but are also mounted to be hung as is.

Artist FAQ

  • Yes and no. Each of my thread painting embroideries are one-of-a-kind and some involve many layers of different techniques, and for that reason, in addition to wanting to maintain their originality, I don't offer patterns of my more detailed work.

However, I do offer digital PDF patterns for anyone looking to try a simpler project here in my Pattern Shop.

  • TBD.

  • I usually work with 6-strand embroidery floss, but plan on branching out to involve different types of fiber in my work, hopefully in the near future.

Check out my Embroidery Essentials for a list of all my go-to products.

  • The number of strands I use is determined by several factors: the area I'm working on, the fabric I'm using, and the amount of detail I'm trying to incorporate. After practicing a lot and figuring out the desired look I want to achieve, I have found what works best for me. My advice is to just keep practicing to find what works best for you!
