This peaceful scene was originally created for, and used in the making of, my book: Richly Stitched Landscape Embroidery: Mastering Thread Painted Scenes. Inspired by artist William Mellor (1851–1931) and childhood trips to Cachuma Lake and Red Rock pools, this piece uses 41 colors with the number of strands varying in the different details, and the back is signed and dated.
