This forest scene was originally created for, and used in the making of, my book: Richly Stitched Landscape Embroidery: Mastering Thread Painted Scenes. Based on a photo my husband took at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, this piece uses 58 colors with the number of strands varying in the different details, and the back is signed and dated.
